Welcome to Main Street Books

Located across from the Visitor's Center in historic St. Charles MO, Main Street Books is a locally owned independent bookstore and is the perfect setting to find that special book for every occasion. We specialize in local history and guidebooks, Western history (including Civil War and Lewis and Clark) and children's books, but our inventory includes all categories. We also host three book clubs each month and frequent special events.

Main Street Books was formerly located in the historic Collier Cottage at 621 S Main, St Charles Missouri.

We now carry Mary Meyer Taggies licensed plush - a perfect new baby gift.

Don't forget our Frequent Buyer Program. Buy 12 books and receive the 13th free (average of prior 12 purchases). Ask for your card today.
